A signed triple-vinyl edition is limited to 300 copies.
Publisher Limited Run Games has collaborated with music label Brave Wave Productions in physically releasing the soundtrack to the 1993 arcade fighting game Samurai Shodown.
The exclusive partnership was announced back in September and this particular release is the first time the label’s put out a triple-vinyl album.
The Samurai Shodown CD Soundtrack comes on two CDs whereas the Samurai Shodown Vinyl 3xLP Soundtrack has been pressed on three coloured 150g vinyl discs (black, red, and white).
Both formats come with a 20-page booklet containing liner notes from composer Tate Norio (also known for The King of Fighters series), industry veteran and enthusiast Greg Kasavin, and Samurai Shodown series creator Yasushi Adachi. The triple-vinyl release also includes a Bandcamp download code for the complete digital soundtrack.
A special signed edition of the 3xLP soundtrack, limited to 300 copies, can also be pre-ordered. On top of the aforementioned items, this release comes with an A4 matte card with Samurai Shodown artwork and signatures from Adachi and Norio.
