Set for release later this year.
A new teaser trailer for narrative-driven adventure game Beyond Blue spotlights the core members of its voice cast.
Developed by E-Line Media, Beyond Blue is the spiritual successor to 2014’s co-operative puzzle-platformer Never Alone and will feature never-before-seen footage from documentary series Blue Planet II as part of the studio’s licensing partnership with BBC Studios.
In the story teaser (embedded below), gameplay footage of the underwater exploration game is overlaid with dialogue between three of the main characters.
Members of the voice cast include Anna Akana (Corporate, Ant-Man, and Big City Greens), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (Black Sails, Vixen, and 24), Mira Furlan (Lost, Babylon 5, and Just Add Magic), and Ally Maki (Cloak & Dagger, Wrecked, and Dear White People).
Beyond Blue centres on a group of scientists led by Mirai (Akana) and André (Kae-Kazim) as they explore the western side of the Pacific Ocean using their Ocean Sense Network technology in order to learn more about the underwater environments and the dangers they’re facing.
Developed and published by E-Line Media, Beyond Blue will be released in late-2019 for Linux, macOS, and Windows; the game will also be available for select console platforms.
