Deluxe edition scheduled for release this autumn.
Developer Chucklefish and publisher Sold Out have teamed up to physically release the former’s turn-based strategy game Wargroove on consoles later this year.
“Wargroove is a fantastic, critically-acclaimed game which up to now has only been available as a digital download,” said Sold Out marketing director Sarah Hoeksma via a press release. “So, we’ve put together a special physical version which fans have been asking for to be available later in 2019.”
The Wargroove – Deluxe Edition will come with a copy of the game, downloadable version of the soundtrack composed by Phonetic Hero, set of sprite stickers, poster map of Aurania, mini strategy manual which includes stats and tips, and a reversible coversheet for the game box.
The game tasks players with choosing one of over 12 commanders from four different factions to battle through the campaign mode in order to find out why the camps are at odds with each other.
Local and online multiplayer is supported as is cross-platform play between players on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Windows. Players can even create their own series of battlefields and share them with others online.
Wargroove is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows; the Wargroove – Deluxe Edition will be released this autumn for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
