Inspired by the soundtracks to Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre.

Music label Materia Collective has announced the release of an arrangement album dedicated to independent game developer Supergiant Games.

EXILE: A Tribute to Supergiant Games is a collection of covers inspired by the soundtracks to action role-playing games Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre – all originally scored by audio director and composer Darren Korb.

Spanning 49 tracks, ranging from rock to chillhop, orchestral arrangements to swing music, acoustic tracks to chillstep, liquid rock drum & bass to a capellas, EXILE: A Tribute to Supergiant Games draws on many styles and genres and features the work of over 50 arrangers.

“The videogame [sic] community has a lot of love for Supergiant Games, and not without good cause,” explained Brian Diamond and Stephen Robert Froeber, co-producers of EXILE: A Tribute to Supergiant Games.

“The genres and gameplay of their games run the gamut and we wanted to reflect the diversity of those styles in our musical tribute to the original material. Nearly 50 arrangers and over 120 collaborators have converged to show their love for the games. We hope everyone enjoys listening as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

EXILE: A Tribute to Supergiant Games is available now from digital stores such as Bandcamp and iTunes/Apple Music, as well as streaming services including Deezer, Spotify, and TIDAL.
