Ahead of next week’s The Game Awards 2018, show producer and host Geoff Keighley announced that Lorne Balfe will be serving as composer and musical director for the event’s orchestra.
“This year I’m thrilled composer [Lorne Balfe] (Mission Impossible: Fallout, COD: Modern Warfare 2, FIFA 19) will serve as composer and musical director for [The Game Awards] orchestra,” said Keighley in a tweet earlier this week.
Aside from the aforementioned games, Grammy Award-winner and Emmy and BAFTA-nominated composer Balfe has also worked on a number of other titles, including Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Crysis 2, and Beyond: Two Souls.
After the announcement was made, Balfe took to Twitter and said: “Looking forward to performing at The Game Awards.”
Game premieres and new announcements are expected to be made at this year’s show.
The Game Awards 2018 will take place on 6th December at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The event will be streamed live across 40 global video networks around the world.
