Composer Ged Grimes of Simple Minds and inXile Entertainment have announced The Bard’s Tale Video Game Music Live concert and theatrical experience as part of winter music festival Celtic Connections 2019.

The event will take place on 31st January, 2019 for one night only at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in Scotland.

The Bard’s Tale Video Game Music Live will feature music, gameplay, and live acting from the action role-playing game series.

Over a dozen songs from the soundtrack of recently-released The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep will be performed by Scottish traditional musicians including the aforementioned Grimes,  Kathleen MacInnes, Fiona Hunter, Eilidh Cormack, Kim Carnie, Gregor Philp of Deacon Blue, Ali Hutton, Innes White, Mairi Chambeul, Martin O’Neill, Brian McAlpine, and others.

The evening will be hosted by John Buick, the voice of Rabbie in The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep.

inXile Entertainment producer Brian Fargo said, “The Bard’s Tale 4 soundtrack is stunningly beautiful and deserving of a live concert. I am looking forward to attending this special event. I hope to see some of the Bard’s Tale fans while I am there.”

Tickets prices for The Bard’s Tale Video Game Music Live range from £22 to £26.50 and can be purchased from the Celtic Connections website.

The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep is available now for Windows with a release planned later for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, macOS, and Linux.
