Battle of the Bands taking place later this month.
Virtual city Hypatia has received an update that allows its residents to experiment with a variety of musical instruments.
Developed by TimefireVR, Hypatia is a free-to-play social virtual-reality game in which players can get together and collaboratively play mini-games, create art, and participate in social experiences.
The latest update introduces 10 musical instruments – players can now experiment with drums, cymbals, castanets, acoustic and electric guitars, pan flutes, piccolos, ukulele, and slide trombones.
The new instruments can be tried out at the Theatre Du Nul, or can be purchased from stores throughout the virtual city.
Each of these instruments can play all eight notes in the G major scale.
A Battle of the Bands event will be taking place at the Theatre Du Nul on 20th October where the winner will receive in-game prizes.
Hypatia is available now and supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, as well as non-VR play on Windows PC.
