Out this Black Friday.

Open world zombie survival game State of Decay 2 will be getting a special edition of its soundtrack released on vinyl, as first reported by Dread Central.

The soundtrack, composed by dreissk and Jesper Kyd, is getting a 2xLP release – 10 of the album’s 29 tracks have not been released before. The album comes packaged in a gatefold sleeve with illustrations by developer Undead Labs.

“I recorded many instruments such as dobro guitar, acoustic guitar, electric guitars, various live percussion, solo violin, solo cello,” explained Kyd. “The live instruments are an important part of making the world of State of Decay breathe and come alive. The broken down post-apocalyptic world needs to be reinforced with the feel of rural Americana; we’re in the American heartland and so the instrument palette was critical to accomplishing an authentic vibe.”

The double vinyl album is available to pre-order now at the Sumthing Store; shipping is expected on or around the release date of 23rd November.

You can listen to the soundtrack sampler on the Sumthing Else Music Works SoundCloud page where 11 tracks have been uploaded.
