To coincide with the upcoming re-release of Okami HD on Nintendo Switch, record label Data Discs has announced that the music from Okami has been remastered and pressed on vinyl for the first time.

The soundtrack to the action-adventure game, originally released back in 2006, was composed by Akari Groves, Rei Kondoh, Masami Ueda, and Hiroshi Yamaguchi – utilising traditional instruments while taking inspiration from Japanese folklore.

This Okami vinyl release is a quadruple 180g LP box set with over two hours of remastered music housed in a spot-vanished hardboard slipcase.

It comes with a 40-page art book and double-sided lithographic print featuring original illustrations from the Capcom Japanese archives, as well as a download code for the album in both lossless and lossy formats.

The album comes in three variations: a “Classic Black,” “Frosted Clear,” and a limited edition “Clear with Pink & White Splatter”. The limited edition is only available through 10pm (BST) 15th August – those who place an order by that date will be guaranteed a copy.
