Something from Creed’s Human Clay album and Drowning Pool’s debut single.

This week’s Rock Band 4 downloadable content includes some ’90s rock and a metal song from the early 2000s.

The DLC tracks for this week are:

  • Creed – “Higher”
  • Drowning Pool – “Bodies”

Taken from the Harmonix release notes:

“Higher” was the lead single off Creed’s second album Human Clay. The song became their breakthrough hit, spending over a YEAR on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock charts during the same time period. The song features a great bassline from Brian Marshall, giving you a lot to play among several patterns. Of course, the guitarist gets to play that well-known riff from the chorus

Drowning Pool put out their debut single “Bodies” in 2001 and spent the summer gaining traction, even being featured as the theme to the 2001 WWF SummerSlam in August. That same month, “Bodies” reached the top 10 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. In 2016, it even hit the top 10 of the Hard Rock Digital chart, a true testament to its staying power. The song is all around heavy, so every instrument is gonna chug along with a fun chart. The guitar features a short solo immediately following the second chorus, which features some sustains to give your strumming hand a break.

DLC tracks can be bought separately and these songs will be available from Thursday, 24th May.
