Pre-orders available now.

Music label Scarlet Moon Records has announced that the original album in the Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies series has been remastered and soon to be rereleased later this week.

The Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies Volume 1 Remastered Version contains a couple of additional bonus tracks that weren’t included in the original release; “Fisherman’s Horizon” from Final Fantasy VIII and an original composition by GENTLE LOVE called “He Chose You” brings the total number of tracks up to 12.

GENTLE LOVE, the duo behind the Prescription for Sleep line of releases, is also known as Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta series composer Norihiko Hibino, and Etrian Odyssey and Persona Q pianist AYAKI.

Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies Volume 1 Remastered Version is fully licensed and available to pre-order from iTunes and Bandcamp. The album is scheduled for release this Friday, 18th May.

Album producer Jayson Napolitano spoke about bringing the sound of the first album more in line with the rest of the series, saying:

“Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies has become a musical phenonemon [sic]… We found that listeners have been creating their own playlists with all six albums in the series and that the original volume could benefit from some remastering as such. We also wanted to treat fans to both a new arrangement and an original track-which we’ve been told are the highlights of many of our albums – to celebrate four years of the series. We’re thankful for all the support and look forward to announcing the next album in the series soon.”
