Introducing RUSH, VOID, and NUKE.

Materia Collective has announced that LAUNCH: StarCraft Reimagined is now available – an album consisting of three EPs that contain a collection of remixes from the classic real-time strategy game StarCraft, and its expansion pack StarCraft: Brood War.

The three EPs have each been given a different name based on the various species found in-game: “RUSH” features Zerg remixes; “VOID” has Protoss remixes; and “NUKE” contains Terran remixes. Each EP has its own general vibe, whether it’s high energy, acoustic, or retro groove.

The producers behind LAUNCH: StarCraft Reimagined, Emmanuel Lagumbay and Jordan Chin, spoke about their memories of the RTS franchise, saying:

“The StarCraft franchise has pushed the boundaries of the RTS genre, while also redefining the multiplayer experience… We remember late night LAN parties, a seemingly endless trove of user-generated maps, and the dedicated fanbase who experienced it all with us. Twenty years later, we knew that we needed to do something special to commemorate the series, as well as relive some of those iconic moments from the game. We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to create this album with so many passionate artists who share our love for the series.”

The album is now available to stream on Spotify and purchase from Google Play or Bandcamp.
