“Shipwrecked” and “Heat Waves” will be added to the Rock Band 4 catalogue.

This week’s downloadable content update for Rock Band 4 consists of two tracks: the first is by Scottish heavy metal band Alestorm and the second by British rock band Glass Animals.

The following songs will be available from 3rd June:

Alestorm – “Shipwrecked” from the 2011 album Back Through Time

… and Glass Animals – “Heat Waves” from the 2020 album Dreamland.

Tracks can be bought individually from the Rock Band Music Store.

The descriptions below are taken from this week’s release notes.

The first DLC track for the week will take you onto the high seas with the definitive pirate-metal band Alestorm. “Shipwrecked” is the second track from their 2011 album Back Through Time and features their iconic accordion-backed metal guitar riffs, lyrics about being shipwrecked on a deserted island and some incredibly fun group vocals for you to chant along to. A tricorn hat won’t guarantee you a Full Combo… but it can’t hurt.

From their 2020 album Dreamland, Glass Animals’ “Heat Waves” has been making its rounds climbing the Billboard charts since its release. It is #5 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative chart and #33 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The song featured a music video filmed by lead singer Dave Bayley’s neighbors from their homes during the UK’s 2020 lockdown and ended with a performance to an empty venue with fellow bandmates on TV screens. The song features a heavily processed guitar track, a fun and driving drum part, a booming bass line and an incredibly memorable vocal chorus with some fun harmonies.
